WELCOME TO MY BLOG BOOK TOUR!

Hi peeps!

I would like to welcome you to my Blog Book Tour and also thank Darlene Duncan who tagged me in her Blog Book Tour.  For more information about Darlene and to see her block visit her at http://darleneduncan.wordpress.com.

Here's some questions for me from the tour:

WHAT ARE YOU WORKING ON?

Currently I am working on an anthology for my church, St. Matthews Catholic Church, entitled Wee Catholics.  This would be a book about everything you may want to know about catholics through the eyes of the students who attend there grades K - 6.  Stories, quips, poems and theories.  This book will be a fundraiser for the school and of course to help benefit their library.

I am also still working on the rewrites of Living Crazy Like Fly and Danczah.  Need a new screenplay writer to help me out, so if you know one let me know.  Books rock, but getting it into a screenplay and on TV or film is where it is these days.

HOW DOES MY WORK DIFFER FROM OTHERS OF ITS GENRES?

I don't really know except that I know that it is mine.  I really like when someone who has read my stories, poetry or books tells me they felt like I was sitting there telling them a story.  I write a lot in first person, so that is a tremendous high when someone can read your words and yet feel your voice along with it. The ultimate cool!

HOW DOES YOUR WRITING PROCESS WORK?

I have that little voice that gets into my head at all hours of the day and night, (even in my dreams) and says write this down right now, write this poem down, this idea.  Get up and get it on the computer.  It never lets up until I do it and then life can resume as normal.  A pain in the ass royally some time to be honest with you.  Not sure if I need an exorcism or not.

WHAT DO YOU WANT TO SEE HAPPEN WITH YOUR WORK?

The ultimate bucket list win would be to see one of my books, stories or screenplays make it to TV or the big screen.  The Oscars!  Me in my wheelchair getting pushed down the red carpet in a designer dress!  The paparazzi going wild!  I think I could die happy then.  :O)

WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE ON THE BLOG BOOK TOUR?

Darlene Duncan - http://www.darleneduncan.wordpress.com

Darlene is an award winning author, presently writing two books, one fiction and one non-fiction.  The fiction story has a working title of Freedom Abdicated, Freedom Lost.  The basic premises is what happens to a society when through the apathy of its citizens and the use of fear by government and media it goes from being a democracy to a radical theocracy.  It follows one woman in particular whose lover dies in her arms from a riccochet bullet fired by a member of the enforcement arm of the theocracy.

The non-fiction book, is a step-by-step guide to using Power Point.  Not nearly as exciting as the fiction work, however, I enjoy helping people learn new things.  Colleagues and friends often come to me with simple questions about using Power Point, so I decided to write a book about it.

Mike Pyle  http://mikepylewriter.com

Michael Pyle, author of White Sugar, Brown Sugar, was an innocent, nerdy, un-athletic, angelic-looking white kid who was raised in the upper-middle class in the 1960s, in a segregated Daytona Beach, Florida. His teenage and early adult years became a blur from drug abuse and addiction. In his early twenties, he cleaned up, finished Daytona Beach Community College, and obtained his Bachelor’s in English.  He completed his Masters and Juris Doctor degrees and has been a practicing attorney for over thirty years. He studied creative writing and taught English to foreign students at the University of Florida. Pyle’s life is partially reflected in both characters of White Sugar, Brown Sugar, an inspiring tale that follows two friends who lose their innocence, suffer from cultural and personal challenges, submerge to the depths of substance abuse and eventually grow into admirable adults.
